Don't know how long this will last, but it may be a sign that the depression is easing a bit.

Do you think we will have a little more good news from the stock market, by the end of this month?

Let's hope so, Twiceshy. I heard that this was the best day of the year for the stock market.

I haven't heard about the Oshawa, Ontario GM worker's decision to take the company's reworked offer yet. I think that could be another sign of how things may go, considering how important the auto sector is.

I think the recession is far from being over and the "depression" phase hasn't even begun yet. I think that the stock market may try another last ditch heroric effort or two, but probably not succeed.

And I'm usually the optimistic one!

I think that this is a sign that we can overcome depression. Let’s just all work together for a better future.

That's a good sentiment there, chocoguy... maybe you should write it down and send it to the people "in charge" who think that spending billions is the way to get out of a depression.

Imagine us running the credit cards to the upper limit and way over when we're having a personal financial crisis instead of spending LESS! But yet administrations of countries don't "get it" yet.

Citibank isn’t he only company that is having a good sign because most of the companies in my country are rehiring some of the workers that they have laid off.

Hmmm... well that's good to hear... but I suspect your country isn't the same as mine, then. :)
