Man, this is a wonderful movie. It stars Clint Eastwood and it's a typical Clint film, but ya got ta love it! It really is quite good and Clint has lost none of his charm since he's gotten older. I really recommend it.
I've heard nothing but good things about it. And kudos to Clint for making his largest box office success when he was in his 70s, or thereabouts.
I agree it definitely is worth seeing. Especially, if you are a fan of C.E. I swear he almost gets better with age. I caught an old old show he did (can't remember the name right now) and it was good for the time it came out but he is definitely like a fine wine as far as that goes.
When my husband and I were first married he worked at a hotel in Palm Springs that shared a lobby with a trendy restaurant. We'd see various celebrities going in and out, and Clint Eastwood was one of the classiest and kindest ones of all. True gentleman.
That makes me happy to know that Clint is still a normal guy. Celebrities tend to have inflated egos. I love it when somebody meets one and says that they are down to earth. John Goodman is from St. Louis and my wifes mother has met him several times. He is of the latter.
I met him an odd 20 years ago while doing some consulting work for Warner Bros Studios. He was great. Just a normal person and one that was obviously raised well. If you want to see him get angry, watch what happens when one of the modern day divas tries to treat the staff on a set like dirt. For what it's worth, Michael J. Fox, Kirk Cameron and Bill Cosby were all great people.
I think my days of watching movies filled with racial and ethnic discord are over. I love Clint Eastewood, though, and will always watch his old Spaghetti Westerns on Turner Classic Movies, though.
