Hello everyone! It's great to be here. I live in a cool city where a lot of pine trees grow and it's so cool. I just wonder what will be the perfect design of house and furniture applicable to a location like ours. I'm happy to join you guys and I'm looking forward to meet you all
I saw most of my townmates using pine trees as their furniture and they say that its good and the best. Some also use the looks of the pine tree as a design of their houses. I find it cool but I wonder is there are other trees stronger and better than pine?
I know several furniture makers who like pine because it is easy to work with and relatively inexpensive, but they'd use maple or oak more often of they could afford it.
The "green" movement in food is to eat locally, so I don't know why it wouldn't be just as advantageous to build from local wood. We have a lot of walnut trees in my area. I think walnut wood is pretty, but pine, cherry and oak are also favorites.
You are lucky. You live in an area with abundant pine trees so pine lumber will be the cheapest. I would definitely go with that.
A lot of people around here live in the mountains, surrounded by pine trees. Ski lodges and cabins near resort areas are always built with pine, and the furniture is always made with wood.
