For all you moms on the forum, what will you be doing for Mother's Day? For me it will be a great meal out with the family. I already know about my gift, too... a new piece for my main collection. :D

Sounds like you're looking forward to a really nice Mother's Day, Katharina. For myself, I will get two excellent phone calls and roses from my kids and grandkids. As for hubby, I think it must be earrings, because he's asking me some strange silver-dangly kind of questions recently.

Phone calls and roses sound absolutely fabulous! I had to smile at the "silver-dangly" questions... they never think we know what they're up to, do they? :) What a great gift and thoughtful hubby!

Thank you, Katharina; I am very lucky.
Guys are so cute when it comes to presents; I think that's half the fun!

    Berry Picking

I know I'm a bit early but I'm really into berry picking. All that fine fresh fruit just waiting for someone to take it! I love picking blackberries the most, and I share alot of that bush's bounty with the bears. They are generous in their sharing though, but when I see the forest shaking in front of me I light out quick!

What's even cuter is when we heavily hint for something we'd love to have as a gift. :) Often the guy will think himself terribly clever for figuring out what we'd like. Shhhh, don't tell! :D

    ally have a quiet day.

My first born died on Mother's Day, 1974 so it has been my practice to find other things to think about, and avoid Mother's Day celebrations altogether.

Laughingmouse, I am so sorry to hear about your son. It's really hard when a tragedy happens on or near a holiday, I think it makes it worse. I hope you had a quiet, peaceful Sunday.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Laughingmouse. :( Finding other things to think about is good, yes. My first baby died in late September and it's always like that for me during that week, too.
