I visited the See's website and it does indeed look possible to get it sent thru the mail. Now all I have to do is find the blasted gift certificate.
I hope you can find it. Yes, they do mail order... absolutely. A few years ago a friend of mine couldn't decide what kind I'd like best, so sent *12pounds* of it to me for Easter. That was soooo hard hiding most of it in the cupboard because chocolate is very hard for me to resist. I don't know how long it took us to get through it, but I do not want a repeat performance anytime soon.
12 pounds of it sounds like my idea of heaven! I may have to place an order today....not for 12 pounds.....but maybe for 2.
12 pounds sounded like heaven to me, too, until it was actually sitting here in front of me. Then it had to change from "Wow, all the Sees I want!" to "Ugh, but there are calories and fat in it so I have to be careful." Ick, that takes all the fun out of having chocolate around.
I don't know, Katharina, that's some friend you have, to send you twelve pounds of Sees'! I need a friend like that, would you introduce me to her?
It was a him and no, I will not introduce you... or the huge box from Sees might be sitting at your door instead of mine the next time he gets so generous. Unfortunately I'm *not* quite so generous. hehe
So did you find it? And did everything go okay? And have you ordered yet and had that heavenly chocolate arrive to your doorstep? And can I come by for dinner?
Must have thought you'd be driving along and an entire mall of Sees outlets would suddenly appear before your eyes. Right?
Just a little tidbit of temptation for you... I got email from Sees this morning talking about their Father's Day sale. Might be worth checking into.
Well, I'm slightly bummed. They want nearly as much in shipping as they do for the whole box of chocolates! I know that they probably need to use a more priority shipping so the candy arrives in good order; but please!
Well pooh! I hadn't checked for a while, but it had been like $6 or $7 in the past. Maybe they think people will buy more than one box so that heavy shipping for 6 boxes doesn't feel as nasty as it is for one box.
I'll bet you're right, Katharina; but it was a big shocker when she told me the price of shipping. Her tone of voice told me that often, when she tells people on the phone the shipping price, they must give her a really hard time. So, I tried to be as polite as possible when I told her "no thank you."
FIFTEEN BUCKS?? Ludicrous. Just checked the website... that's up to purchases of $155 though... so see, there ya go, just order a bunch of boxes and the shipping won't seem so bad! And if you have any extra... uh....
