How would you like your Mother-In-Law to live with you?
That's what is happening in the Obama household: Michelle's mom is coming to live at the White House, to help take care of the girls. I think it's a wise idea; I had my grandma living in my parents' house as a young girl, and I think it did me alot of good.
My question is, would you like your mother-in-law to live at your house, say for the next eight years?

Sure. My MIL was a wonderful person. I had no trouble getting along with her at all. I'd give anything if she were still alive.

She sounded like a real sweetie, Nam. It's nice when in-laws can get along. My father and grandmother never had a cross word, all the time I knew them. She was some lady, my grandma.

I'm sure it depends on the person. I've had two MILs, one of them would have been a huge help and benefit to have in our home. The other would have driven me crazy.

4 years. He's in there for 4 years unless he wins re-election.

I would have no problem. My in-laws and I all adore each other.

If my MIL was still alive, I wouldn't mind her living nearby or in an MIL apartment attached to our own home, just as along as we had separate, living spaces with separate entrances.

As sweet as any MIL might be, I would never be comfortable with open access to our personal time and space.

Keep telling yourself that, Frankie. You might even put it to music: "Four more years, four more years, good gawd y'awl, four more years...!

We'll just keep singing the eight year version...! So tell me, your in-laws, they're Democrats, eh? :p;)

    Heretoday,
No, like most intelligent people they vote for the best candidate no matter what their party affiliation.

I guess you haven't considered that in 4 years there could be a democrat candidate that you might like better?

But at least I called this one right...he immediately started raising taxes and spending money that the country didn't have.
