Happy Memorial Day, everyone. It's a sad one for me because the aunt I was closest to died yesterday. I am kind of numb and horrified at the services that I'll have to attend tomorrow and Wednesday. But I'm still trying to make the best of today. I've already made potato salad to go with burgers for dinner and my daughter's making a peanut butter cream pie, so it will be a nice holiday.
My condolences, Katharina. My prayers go with your aunt, and to you. When I make potato salad, I make enough for an army so it will last awhile. That's a major project, and I hope you didn't tackle that much today. Your daughter's pie sounds heavenly. I'm hoping you and your family can have a pleasant rest of the day.
Thank you for the prayers, heretoday. I'm finding that I desperately needed them today. I just can't talk myself into calming down. And no, I'm trying not to do much today. Tonight will be horrible. I had potato salad for breakfast (I made a lot, too!) and now I'm ready for a fast-forward button to get me to the weekend.
