I've searched the net and the shear number of choices overwhelms me. I'm building wood snowshoes and am looking for tools for quarter and possibly 8th splitting the log, to draw shaves for rough sizing the frame stock, to spokeshaves for fine tuning. I will also need some sort of tool for making the mortises where the cross members come together with the frames; chisels perhaps? New or used will do; I'm looking for durable stuff that is of good quality and is comfortable to use Bear in mind, I'm a woodworking neophyte. Regards... Mike
