Before we know it, Easter (or whatever you call your Spring Festival) will be upon us. Does your family do a big picnic (weather permitting, of course), potlucks, egg hunts, etc? What are you going to be doing to usher in Springtime?
Just some stuff around the house here for us... that would include possibly planting a few veggies, but probably also planting a tree in the front yard. We *may* put a front porch on in the spring, but that may have to wait another year. Easter... a really great dinner that I'll cook.
I don’t have a plan this coming spring. I guess that I would just do the usual, just sit in front of my computer while playing games or chatting on forums.
My wife's family has a big meal for Easter. There are some people I like to see at these gatherings and others that I'm not close to. As for projects, I want to get started on the solarium.
A porch and a solarium; two things I wouldn't mind at my house. After you guys put them up at your houses, how about doing mine? As for veggies, I'd love to plant some tomatoes, but I'm told they don't fare well in our climate; the stems or stalks are attacked by the salt water, I've been told. Has anyone tried those upside-down growing tomatoes they advertise on TV? They seem to grow out of a bag.
Oh that's what I like! And we live close enough to a bread bakery that we smell it when the windows are open... it's such a lovely smell!
Church Friday night. Easter egg dying Saturday. Church again Sunday, followed by dinner that I hope I don't have to cook and Easter egg hunting. Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. It is so 'hopeful' looking forward to better weather.
We're going to be dying eggs this year with a tie dye kit... I hope they turn out well. I was just reminded this morning when looking at a calendar how close Easter is. I hadn't realized!
OMG, if I lived near enough to smell a bread bakery...I'd already be in jail for breaking and entering, and eating all the inventory...!
Hehe It really is a smell like no other. And we're close enough that the wind doesn't even have to be blowing this way... the smell is always there. Imagine the difficulty when I do the treadmill in the attached garage and have THOSE windows open! Treadmilling to the smell of fresh bread... makes it a bit more difficult to stay on track with healthy eating!
I grew up in Montana....most years we froze a lot....lol. Here in Arizona is warm and great for a picnic. It's actually our annual picnic kickoff. The first one of the year.
