We have turned off our lights for an hour so that we can show the whole world that we want to fight Global warming. Do you have something like this on your country?

Considering that even the "experts" that said there was global warming have stated that it's taking a break, I see no point in this.

It's here in the US. I didn't observe it.

At last someone did answer my question!

I am surprised; I thought that the US should be the first one to be doing this on the first place because Obama is running some campaign about it.

    Choco,
Obama may be the president but that doesn't mean that the majority listen to him or like him.

Actually that is true of most presidents. Just because people put him in the office doesn't mean that the majority really wanted HIM.....most of the time it's just that were REALLY didn't want the other guy.

Oh, Frankie. Every poll shows that Obama's popularity and job rating are still extremely high. They may not report that on every station, but it's the truth. He also won the Presidency in a landslide, in case you didn't hear.
Of course, it's hard to compete with Michael Steele. President Obama is quaking in his boots over him.

    Heretoday,
Why is it that the polls that agree with you are "the truth" but polls that don't are skewed? Obama won in a LANDSLIDE???? Math wasn't your strongest subject in school, was it? He won with 52.9% of the popular vote. That is NOT a "landslide".

I already know that everyone will not obey their president but this is something for our planet. If many will participate then many companies will be encourage to fund the project on healing the ozone.

Heretoday, That wasn't a skewed number, it's the final vote count. Look it up. I realize that you democrats hate facts, but deal with it.

Have you never considered that another democrat might run for the nomination in 2012 that you like better? I guess not. You and your ilk are so caught up in Obamamania that you can't think straight.

    Choco,
Australia Antarctic Division glaciology program head Ian Allison said sea ice losses in west Antarctica over the past 30 years had been more than offset by increases in the Ross Sea region, just one sector of east Antarctica.

"Sea ice conditions have remained stable in Antarctica generally," Allison said.

Ice core drilling in the fast ice off Australia's Davis Station in East Antarctica by the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems Co-Operative Research Center shows that last year, the ice had a maximum thickness of 1.89m, its densest in 10 years.

The paper on it is due to be released soon. There is no global warming. Even the UN concedes that it seems to have halted. The Russian Academy of Science published a report 2 years ago that said it was going to halt and then COOL DOWN.....when is exactly what is happening.

I guess there is just not much money to be made in global cooling.

Oh, so sorry, Frankie. I thought that "you and your ilk" put alot of stock in the Electoral College. At least you did in 2000.

    Heretoday,
I guess your reading skills were about on par with your math skills. I clearly wrote that I was speaking of the popular vote. The popular vote is how you determine a landslide. The Electoral college is how you determine the presidency. Turns out that is a good thing or we would STILL be counting the hanging chads of the 2000 election.

    I voted for Nader.

When a person is losing the argument, Frankie, they go for personal attacks. If you want to talk politics, fine. If all you've got is bile, go back to posting on Fox, where everyone agrees with you.

    Heretoday,
You claim that every poll shows that Obama has a high popularity and job approval....you need to look again. He's sinking fast.

The people who wanted change wanted it sometime during the next 4 years.

Frankie, you really must get your secretary on the ball with getting the research to you on time...or isn't she/he worth minimum wage?:D

Here Today, I guess you have missed the reports of the assessment of Obama and his first 100 days. Try the Wall Street Journal online. They have a nice list you can refer to so that even you can know what you are talking about.

The Wall Street Journal owned by Rupert Murdoch? I wouldn't wrap my garbage on it. Just as clueless as the Faux Channel.
The more reputable polls state that the President holds good numbers in his 100-day, all over performance, and personal popularity.
The Repubs, on the other hand, are down to a bare 25% of the voting population. Which reminds me, why were you guys teabagging the last budget done by the Bushies? Which also reminds me: when are the Ron Paul folk going to forgive you guys for barging in on their Tea Parties?

Heaven forbid you should read something that requires more than a 3rd grade education and actually learn something.

"The more reputable polls"? You mean the polls that agree with you.

We don't teabag. That's something ignorant democrats came up with because they couldn't debate the tax issues.

Frankie, why is the first thing in your mind always that someone is less intelligent than you? Is that what you were told by your parents when you were a little girl and disagreed with them? You want everyone to know that you have a law degree and all this supposed money. The woods are full of folks with law degrees; it just means that someone had enough scratch to get you through law school.

Once again you can't debate the issue so you attempt to dodge it. Your next move will be to try and play the victim.

Oh...you already did that one....alas you are out of moves. That is why you have moved on to insults. It's all you have left.

If you get bored, look into global cooling.
